About Ground Up Snow & Ice Control has been serving Lake County for 33 years. Initially Ground Up was a commercial builder/subdivision developer. One snowy day while working on a job, a worker slipped on a job site. Seeing a need to correct this safety issue, we invested in our first snowplow. A neighboring retail store noticed our work and approached us to plow and salt their commercial location because the company they hired had not showed up for them 2 days consecutively. Soon multiple retail stores in the area reached out to us, and our commercial snow and ice control division was born. 108 pieces of snow removal equipment later, we have been keeping properties safe, including everything from shopping malls, to private office lots, and municipalities for 3+ decades.
